what is a a WoW/CoH combat system?
World of Warcraft, City of Heroes combat system. Free movement in teh world but its not your combined key strokes in a pattern that makes you perform... you have a tool bar that has pre-set moves or skills. Most MMOG/MMORPG has this system but WoW and CoH have refined them well.
what do you mean by maxed three toons?
Maximum combat level in City of Heroes is level 50. I have reached level 50 on 3 of my toons. Tryed to play each one after 50 but there simply isn't any worthwhile content to keep going. I have 8 other toons between 14 and 33, most hovering at 30 iirc.
when you talk about repay value, you mean the amount of real world cash one can generate, correct?
Thats not only illegal but its lame to make money off of a game when it violates the terms of service. I denote replay value as how fun it is to either a) reinvent yourself as a new character b) how much added content has been added between your last jouney to maximum combat level c) how much OVERALL content you haven't been able to play though or d) a mixture of all the above
i guess anarchy online is downloaded fro mtheir website, correct?
yes and there is a pretty fast bit torrent link to get it super fast.
can one not leave ones character online during the day, and the character can toil away while you are doing some real "real world work" andd then you can reap the fruits of your characters gawork in the game world?
The only game you will find something that is similar, and legal is in EVE Online. There you character trains skills you purchase. The training doesn't stop when you log out and they have built the system to where each skill you learn has a set rank. It can take up to 3 months to learn some skills from level 1 to level 5. Macro'ing in a game while Away from Keyboard is against most games, except for Star Wars Galaxies where it isn't enforced too bad. Doing macro's can seriously destroy your immersion and connection with your character so avoid it at all cost or just get a Playstation 2.
what i mean to ask is one does one need to micromanage ones character?
Depends on what you refer to as micromanage. You do need to learn the game mechanics and how your profession will blaze trails in the game. For instance if you want to be a scout you need to understand how you will become a scout and how you want your playstyle to reflect that learning. Most of this is lost on all but the most devout of players and most usually just get into some rat race grind to the highest level they can get. If you just want to power level ( get as high as fast as possibly ) then don't waiste your money on an MMOG/MMORPG.
