Same thing happened when they started the closed beta but people were getting charged for the errors and if you were lucky double charged. 😀
 
I have been trying for over 30 minutes now. I have gotten to the confirmation characters once on FP, but no further yet. You don't have to be a FP subscriber, but you do have to have a GameSpy ID to log in with. Now I am getting " ACK! There's been some sort of error with the contest or poll that you tried to submit." 100% of the time. I am so sick of retyping my information into that damn form, that I am about ready to just say FU to the whole process. Not entirely sure I want to get back into MMORPG in the first place....

EDIT: The official WoW site finally came back up after being offline for over an hour.....
 
Dingdongdangit. Finally got past the "ACK" screen, but now the confirm screen won't show me the check image.

EDIT: Super w00t, finally got my key. Man was that ever painful. Hopefully the torrent d/l of the software I started this morning is going well......

WorldOfWwarcraft.com is not backup and it won't be until they hear FP has exhausted its open beta keys.

Actually, it was back up not too long ago (for a brief moment). They were not offering up keys. In fact, the message announcing the open beta specifically said to go to FP to get your key. Once the FP keys are exhausted, I am assuming they will start offering them from the WoW site.

I just kept going at the code screen and backing to it when it didn't work.

Too bad the WoW site is down and can't use the key atm.
 
After trying for an hour, I finally got the key. Just keep trying lol 🙂
If you get to the image authentication screen, enter the code and hit submit. If you get an error page, hit the back button and try again.
 
I keep getting the FP sign up - fill that out
Then I get the gamespy login - I do
Then rooted back to the FP sign up page again

Anyone getting that as well?

I finally got the signup.worldofwarcraft.com page to load. No dice on the Create Account page.....
