BTW, cut the "m$" crap out will you? Yes, they're a company in the business of making money. Cut it out, it's immature.

lol i didnt even think about it, why does it bother you? i use m$ so others know who im talking about, i could care less about them making money. wish i would have gotten in when i could have made wheelbarrows of cash myself. ms just doesnt identify as well as m$ does, given the history and recognition of the moniker.

for the record, every business is in the business of making money. even charities.

That's my point. And if you want people to know who you're talking about, why don't you use MS like a normal grown up? Pretty sure people aren't going to spend 5 minutes trying to figure out who you're talking about in a thread about Microsoft.

Look at the ledge next to his right ear. They didn't even attempt to make it line up. There's 3 ledges stacked on top of each other. rofl

It truly looks like someone woke up hung over and just said fuck it.

because when i used MS not many people knew i was referring to microsoft. like i said, i use it based on other peoples recognition, not my own personal agenda. got into a habit, but fuck you very much for making it an insult to my "normality". at lelast im not a pissy, grouch of a grown up that is bothered by a $ being used as an S. get over it.

hahaha

hahaha oh my microsoft, oh my.

Anyone else have those links in two different tabs and just click back and forth? I am too easily amused.

:) I have a friend that lived in poland for two years, I was showing the two links to him in the tabs and said "Whats wrong with the polish site". I was dieing, he didn't see it initially, but then the light clicked and he was like "Wait a minute...".

According to him, the polish are very racist.

What's bad about that picture is that it's poorly 'shopped, not that they replaced the black guy.
Or that the asian guy (guy is asian, right?) is still in the picture.

If it's a global perspective/appeal thing, I would say leave both in just as in original pic, but if they are targeting specifically Polish people in Poland, it makes more sense to target the demographic.

Surprised / shocked? No.

Funny? Yes.

I also went to the URL's to verify it's still there.

Wonder who caught it first though?

Many Asians in Poland versus blacks?

So... is that black guy's head 'shopped, too? I mean... that head is huge!

The Caucasian guy is definitely chopped. The black guy looks like he was possibly chopped, but if it was chopped, it was done by a much better chopper than the Caucasian.

dood, every company does that when you market internationally, go read a book.

and actually, microsoft did not do that, they wouldnt do such a bad photoshop. If you look at the white guy's head, its way off, does not look right, and his hand is still black, the photoshopper forgot to to change that. weak

no problem, just thought the photoshop job could have been done better, they didnt even bother with the hands. i mean we are talking microsoft, not some other two bit software company on a tight budget.

didn't even notice the hands.

That's asking a lot on ATOT. Go read the "humans in space" thread.

That's what I was thinking.

Actually, it looks like someone else was there, and his face got photoshopped and replaced by the Black guy and white guy.

Why? Because advertisers know that diversity is what Americans want, and polocks don't care about black people?

As you can see...FIXED! Same image on both sites, original restored.

Microsoft's response:

Update: Microsoft tells CNET, "We are looking into the details of this situation. We apologize and are in the process of pulling down the [Polish] image."

Update 2:
And... it's down. The un-shopped image is now up on the Polish site, although whatever harried graphicsmonkey that got the call to fix it didn't do so well lining up the text box. At least that's one mistake that won't get you fired though, right?
