So I went to buy Warhammer online from them. I fill out all the needed info submit order. It fails get a message in saying something along the lines of no transaction has taken place. Thinking it might have something to do with my bank address as I recently changed it I tried my old address and a variation of my new one (I live on an AFS so I tried the name of the city instead) to no avail.

Finally, I find out you can't use free email addresses without further verification... except there is no way to pursue such that I can find. Their customer support is what I can only describe as an abomination. There is no phone number to call these people, and the only method of getting help is through opening tickets, which pretty much just invites some canned auto responses.

To top it all off I check my bank account and they charged me three times for when I was changing my address to try to get it to work even though they say no transaction was taking place. Apparently, they don't trust me enough to give me the game, but they do trust me enough to charge my account.

Wow... this happened to me last week, too, while trying to buy Spore. I got so mad. Just create a cust. support ticket through Direct2Drive and say what happened; they fixed it right up for me. I ended up getting Spore through the EADM. Wish it was on Steam.... :( Oh well, it still owns.

Yeah, I've heard bad things about D2D, but I went ahead and bout Warhammer Online from them anyway, since I figured and MMO is a safe purchase that they can't screw up much.

Everything worked for me. Sorry you had such troubles :(

must be a glitch because i've bought several games through them without a problem. support isn't always quick, but they usually answer my questions or get my problems fixed without a hassle.

I didnt have a problem paying for my warhammer purchase. But actually getting it to download? 2 hours into this and I am still 40/137 with 57 mins left waiting. They really need to change this. This is pretty ridiculous a paying customer has to wait this long to get their product.

Edit: Even with a 15mbps line I am only getting 200-450KB/sec

This will take me about 10 hours. Not impressed.

I just keep getting a constant "Server Error" page when I try to download it. I also hit the "Send Info" button, which just gives me a "Thanks for purchasing Warhammer" email. Not sure where I even get my key from, even if I could get the client to download.

Avoid this service at all costs, this is much too dicey to be used.

I don't know what's causing your issues but I have purchased several downloads from D2D and never had a problem.

Oh and the key is part of the receipt you should have seen after purchase. Just log back into your account on D2D and look for purchases.

Wouldn't that be under the "Activation Key" in my recent files? If it is, the only thing under that is "Please click the download button
to retrieve your key." Which I cannot do, as I just get a constant server error. Used IE and FireFox with no results.

My key wouldn't be the confirmation code, would it? This is all seems very dicey still.

its not dicey, you're just experiencing a technical difficulty. log a support ticket with them.
