Yeah, but when you pop the hood, they're surprisingly easy to figure out.
- Plugs, plug wires, distributor (with points and rotor inside.)
- Plus, working on the engines is a dream - compard to vehicles today.
However, the older vehicles did require a lot more maintenance. The plugs and points would need to be changed out every 12,000 miles. The carburator would need frequent sprays of carb fluid to keep the choke from sticking. At least many of the new cars today can go 100,000 miles between plug changes and some other maintenance.
I guess I like to look at the old cars, but wouldn't really care to own one.
