Yeah. I guess you could funnel your money into a mining operation and conceal the assets. But what about crypto you bought on an exchange?
You can always try to gin up some credentials to use. From my limited experience, they're happy to take scans of any documents they ask for so in some cases you might be able to chop yourself a new identity. I don't think anyone is looking more closely than they need to - as long as they're in nominal compliance with any regs, I don't think anyone really cares. Once they want to match an id to a bank account though, I don't think you have a lot of options for deception.

It's natural to feel jealous for missing out. I see some pretty jealous people in this thread.

I view this bitcoin mania as super positive. This is about the most awesome and fair VC opportunity for the little people all the world as we've ever had in history. When has the little guy ever had this kind of opportunity from the ground up? You might think bitcoin and cryto are a joke and valuations are ridiculous but it's nice to see average joe making money and getting in from the ground floor for a change. Think about all the stupid VC unicorns the ultra wealthy have dumped on the public at ridiculous premiums and pumped while they cashed out making like 10,000 times their initial investment. Millions of people are going to get really hurt when this bitcoin bubble pops. That's a given. You're welcome to post your skepticism and warning about the bubble but it's poor karma to wish for people in this thread to lose money just because you missed out and are salty.

I'd argue that even getting in now is early adopter based purely the tiny fraction of the overall population trading crypto much less even aware of crypto.

I got in when bitcoin was ATH at 4k, almost talked myself out of it thinking I'm so late to the game.

the risk/reward profile is way different now, and the upside much less (compared to even 8 weeks ago).

Carry on, my greedy capitalist pig friends, for I will live vicariously through you.

There are new crypto currencies coming out all the time. A lot of people seem to think you can only invest in Bitcoin. I made a tidy little profit from Bitcoin a while ago but since then I haven't touched it. There are several alt coins out there that I really feel are gonna do good (VEN being one of them). When you get in on the early stages the risk is quite small compared to the potential gains.

Yep. It's so easy and fast to get started investing in crypto, that was a big draw for me.

Cryptos benefit non-capitalists rich pigs most.

There is a certain poetic justice in that.

Is there a porn coin yet? One that empowers webcam models and or escorts? Asking seriously as some of these newly released coins like VIBE for (Virtual reality marketplace??) are seeing huge gains with very little prospects, but having a coin that can maybe unite all the different payment systems that webcam models have to use seems like a really good idea.

I don't see why they would need a PORNCOIN instead of any other previously developed coin?

I think it has to do with the dApps? and how the platform is made.

If you are ripple or raiblocks, you don't necessarily want your first big splash for a partnership to be in the sex industry.

Also, a coin a lot of the time is FUD'd because they have no use cases, BUT with very little capital, a coin can launch a cam site, partner with an exchange for cam models to cash out, and launch the coin, the platform, and prove a use case all in one fell swoop!

There are plenty of pump&dump groups creeping out of crevices everywhere. Basically as a group they pump a random insignificant altcoin and get bystanders involved until too many people decide to sell, then it's a race not to be last and be the loser.

The things people come up with to con other people...

Lol nobody is jealous. I find that ether money tends to make it's owners overconfident however.

Saw an MSI Gaming X RX 580 8GB was for sale, for $345, and an MSI RX 570 4GB Armor card for $275. Went to bank, deposited some cash, and then, came back, and they were both sold out, and showing as around $700 from third-parties scalpers.

Thankfully, Newegg had a fresh listing for an RX 570 Gaming X 8GB, so I snagged that one for $305. I'm a big fan of the MSI "Gaming" / "Gaming X" cards, the fans are huge and so is the heatsink, they don't overheat like my XFX cards. (*) Mine XFX 570 may have defective heatpipes.

I dunno why u think the ship has sailed. I just matched my initial investment just last night.

You can still just put it on VET or REQ and expect minimum 2-5x gains by EOY. And that's being conservative.

Upside for VEN is just starting. Their Thor generation hasn't even begun.

From today's price (6.00~), lots of people think 10x+++ is conservative.

I mean mega VC Jim Breyer JUST got into VEN few weeks ago.

(Again don't take my advice blah blah)

when exchanges are reporting 100k+ new users/day or whatever, I'm going to go ahead and feel like I've missed the boat.
