Wow, ATOT is so antagonistic lately

It's almost comical. Was it like this at the beginning of last year, too? I didn't venture into ATOT until later in 2004...

This is just like the rest of the world- Some people who have the same interest set up a community. Then people grow to hate each other and belittle others. I guess thats just the course of civilization.

Good, because it's been incredibly boring in here lately. I've had to go and post in P&N for entertainment.

There was actually a thread in P&N a few months ago that linked to an article about that line of thinking...shoot...what was it?

It might have been that Rolling Stone columnist that went "undercover" into the Bush campaign in Florida and stayed with some very religious people (I shan't call them Christian as they weren't what Christ taught). He pretty much came up with the summary that religious people continue to seek out challenges like abortion, same-sex marriage, etc. in order to challenge their faith. If/when they are victorious in their efforts, they look to it as strengthening their faith.

Morons, imo.

most recently, it's because MichaelD is an idiot.

But in general, it's because people have a tendency to justify their own beliefs by alienating opposing beliefs.

In other news. I like key lime pie.

That sounds very likely. Just like all militant radicals, religious or not.

no wait, that was me, I just Fausted... sorry.
You know, if you're going to insult me, it would behoove you to do so in a semi-original manner. Taking something I typed in one of your idiotic threads and replacing your name with mine just makes you look like an even bigger idiot.

I know, like that complacent guy. He starts talking about how he hates people who assumes stuff, then he starts putting words in my mouth about things I've never said.

I guess people just have that passion to really be antagonistic.
