I'd like to push the years forward a bit, from 1985 to 1995. I was born in 1981, and the people I grew up with were all hard working and dedicated to their education. We were just before all of the tech stuff that came out, and all of the tattoos and piercings and myspace and all that, I was already out of college by the time all of that junk was popular.

My little brother on the other hand, who was born in 1983, is right in the middle of it. Thank goodness he got into the military and has to work his ass off for a living.

bad parenting. kids feel deserving and entitled these days...parents are blind to their childrens faults(because they don't want to feel responsible)....

kids who show up twice during a semester, don't do the homework, fail all the tests have their parents call to cuss out the teachers because they no longer qualify for the basketball team.....and the administration actually pressures the teachers to "re-evaluate" because they are a star-player . . .

america is full of pansies now...

Wow, just wow. I was born in 78 and share some of their sentiments.

I don't expect to keep my job if I don't work my ass off though. I do expect to be paid more if I produce. if I don't, then I may be looking for a different position.

I see extreme views from both sides, but that's probably what the program was going for. I was born in the '83 and I definitely share some of their views. I do work hard, pulling all nighters or weekends if necessary (which is occasional). But in general I work to live. I think it's unreasonable to ask one to "live and breathe" the company unless that happens to be the employee's desire.

I agree with most of what they say. Most of the kids nowadays are dumb as shit. They might know how to use cell phones and other gadgets (they're pure end users), but they have absolutely no common sense. Even people with degrees tend to be clueless.

It's what you get when schools take competition out of the formula.

Lazy bums and hard workers have existed in every generation. Just like before, the hard workers will succeed.
