That's nothing.

Civ3...it was released in what...late 2k1? I'm not even CLOSE to bored.
I was just about to post that. I've been playing the Rise and Rule mod lately.

Hmmm...I'm still just playing conquests. Is there a large learning curve for Rise and Rule?

(it's an extension of the DYP mod, right?)

I haven't played for a couple months, but I played BF1942 several times per week for the first TWO years after it was released.

probably the most addictive game of all time....diablo 2

amen to that. I have close to 100+ mules now 😱

whats so great about that game? once I finished the game the first time through, I lost any interest in continuing to grind. I don't know how any one can play the same thing over and over again.

I keep going back to starcraft... nothing like getting some old POS pc and sitting down to some 640x480 starcraft goodness. Still one of the best RTS of all time.

It's all about the magic finding and the dueling.

A forced slow expansion start, a million techs, units, wonders, etc.

Basically, a builders dream.

I lost a bunch of evenings tied up in Pindle runs. I gave up waiting almost two years for a patch. Eventually it did come out, but I was long gone. I would like that time back.

Call of Duty for me. While I don't play it EVERY day, I usually play 4-5 times a week and it will have been out 2 years in October.

Me too. But I only play rifles only now.

I've been playing StarCraft ever since it came out. It's been 6-7 years and this game is still damn fun and there're still new moves, strageties coming out.

thats funny i was just playin online with my friend last night after not playing for months and we both said at the same time "Why did we buy this game again?"

Yeah, games take longer because you can't build up as fast in the beginning, and there is a ton of stuff to research. Each city building is pretty self explanitory so it doesn't take long to learn. There are multiple "library" type buildings and multiple "marketplace" type buildings, etc. so your cities can become monsters if you fully develope them.

Most of the wonders have new requirements (like you need 3 libraries before building the Great Library) an a few of them do different things. I think that is the hardest part of the mod, because there are a lot more wonders to build too. You have to be selective about which ones you go for.

It's still basically Civ 3 with more stuff to do.
