Wow, after over half a year from it's release date ...

No Lifer
is Halo 2.

i play this game daily on xbox live, even if I only have time to play 1 game on there. i don't think there has ever been a game i have continued to play this much over 6 months after its release date.

truly, xbox live has saved my video gaming experience. i would probably play video games like 2 times a month if it weren't for xbox live. halo 2 just makes xbox live even better 😀.

there any games you guys play almost daily 6 months after release date?

Halo at lan parties (depending on the group of friends), halo 2 via live ( or lan parties, depending on the group of friends, etc) when i'm not "distracted"

I'm still playing World of Warcraft.

The game at 60 leaves a little to be desired, but still it's keeping my interesting with quests and PvP and alts. If you don't like PvP then you'll probably be bored at 60 once you get your character geared-up.

after watching my roomate (who wasn't even a computer geek, but rather a druggie/partier who got horribel grades in college) play EQ all one semester, i officially have no urge whatsoever to play any MMORPG. they just look so stupid and like such a waste of time. all i would see is him typing to the screen and his EQ character floating on thin air, not even walking when they move ... floating.

it really looked like the dumbest game i have ever seen and i have no clue how he coudl play that thing until 5am.

Call of Duty for me. While I don't play it EVERY day, I usually play 4-5 times a week and it will have been out 2 years in October.

That's nothing.

Civ3...it was released in what...late 2k1? I'm not even CLOSE to bored.

Are you saying that playing less video games would be a bad thing?

well since i work full time and workout 4-5 times a week, spend time w/my GF 5-6 days a week, go biking or something on the weekend, go golfing when i have a chance, i think playing less video games wouldn't have any affect on me at all, except maybe i would spend more $$$ on doing other things in that time instead. and plus, no need to put my 50" DLP to waste 😀

I still play counter-strike. Still haven't found a game to rival the experience.

i honestly don't know why i stopped playing that game. it was like i ONLY played it while in college. even the summers at home i never played it much, but when I went back to school I would fire it back up and play it every day.

i should re-install it.

I was just about to post that. I've been playing the Rise and Rule mod lately.

I play H2 every now and then. It's the only reason why I bought a 2nd XBox - for Live only. 🙂

I gotta say - the dynamics of the game has changed a bit with 1.1. Wack kills, grenade damage, battle rifle is the new 3 shotter, and from what I can tell, pistol + smg has been toned down a bit. (I used to tear through everybody with that, it's been dumbed down a bit)

I'm kinda glad all the rankings were reset - it's fun to play on a 7/8 level again, although it does skew the games quite a bit. There's always a 20 something in the mix during those games. (We played a 29 overall, he was on a team of 3, even with one man down he carried the whole team. There'd be times where it'd be 3 of us against just him and we'd all die)
