While I don't debate that a single gunshot (ie, the type DeathBUA and vi_edit's wife have seen) can cause severe brain trauma without "clinical death." That's like a gang-banger/rapper/drive-by shooting - a shot to the head.

However, a three-round burst directly to the base of the brainstem is going to terminate vital functions pretty much instantly. That's where you go when you're trying to end a hostage situation - the perp is "clinically dead" before even hitting the ground, never mind having the time to pull a trigger.

Agreed. A "well placed shot" isn't to the temple or front of the head; it's to the back of the head.

A 3 round Burst to the back of the head.

Make them go into room and pump in carbon monoxide/carbon dioxide/ pure oxygen

Highest caliber shotgun shell to the head *Edit "dead - head"

Put them into a room. Roll in a grenade

Put them into a room, high explosives

Is this an "either or" or "all of the above" scenario? :p

all the above might ensure death. ;)

in all honesty, I don't see anyone walking away from a shotgun blast. However, family wouldn't want that since it would be an automatic closed casket funeral.
Or... do those executed even have funerals? Always wondered that...

If they are worried about the person still living after a bullet, I'm pretty sure I know 1 bullet/gun that you won't have to wonder.

The .50 cal Barret sniper rifle. I think if you take one of those to the ole noggin' you're going to be dead.

I think its more "any place within 2 inches of your body."
