In 20 years, I bet someone else will overtake them.

Depends if it's long or short term. This is coming from someone who also was interviewed by them!

The internet itself will become sentient and break the bonds of search engines and various other web companies.

Yeah, have thought about something like that too. Don't think things will be the same after some years from this post. 10-20-30, maybe 40 tops for sure, the net's gonna be completely revolutionized. Someone or something else will take the reins of that instillation.

no i mean what kind of questions did they ask? were they extremely detailed questions? all technical interview or behavioral also?

it's good that you were able to answer all the questions. Google is rumored to treat their employees really well. So I will not hesitate in taking a job with them, but they dont have many positions in the NYC area (not that I'd get them anyways)

Were you offered the job?

Was called out of the blue by a google employee one day, I was feeling the hype back then and though, "Heck yeah!"
I withdrew after the second interview was over. Had second thoughts, because it was for a systems administration position connected with their campaign for other overseas countries. Apparently they knew I was multilingual and wanted to emphasize on that.

Didn't like the idea of working in another country, so adios to that path.

They have a lot of departments/positions, what would interest you?

Nothing that would involve working in an office. I need to be out doing things, not working in the same place every day. That's one of the reasons I'm aiming to be a cop.

Of course, Google could have something like that, I don't know every one of the positions.
