wouldnt pay movie theater prices, but I'll gladly rent it. I'm not enough of a movie snob to dismiss it just because it doesn't have impeccable acting and a gripping script.

I would.. But I chose to not see 2,3,4 because they looked stupid.
I saw 1 and 5 and they have their place. 5 was better than I expected, not flawless or anything but not bad.

I like cars and car movies so I can't really say no (if it looks decent)

Tokyo drift for example, does not look decent. And I skipped it completely.

If wasnt that bad really. Well, they way the violated a mustang by putting in a skyline engine was lame, but thats really the only thing I think was wrong with it. Well, besides the overplayed Tarzan/Flash Gordon/Avatar/Dances with Wolves/John Carter plot where a white guy goes to a foreign land and ends up being king. Oh, and its actually the last movie in the series, so its in the not too distant future that gets further away with each new movie. Kind of a running joke in movies 4 and 5.

I think of it more like a bonus footage that that you would get on a F&F box set. Doesnt hurt anything.

I saw the first one. Then, I saw all the 'tards spend 1000's of dollars to rice up their cheap cars to make them look cool. Then, I got stuck watching the second one - I didn't want to; but that's what was on & I was stuck. I was stuck for the 3rd one too - but that time, I was smart enough: "Hey, who wants something good for dessert? I'm going to run out to the store & get something. No, don't worry about me - you don't have to wait to start the movie."

A relative of a friend of mine was supposed to be working on this film and my kids were invited to come watch and possibly be extras. It all fell through (he worked on a different project)...if the kids were in it, I would have watched it; otherwise, no.

Those movies (specifically the last 3) are outstanding mindless fun. Ridiculous in every way, but spectacularly so.

Yep. These movies deliver when I'm looking for mindless action fun...even better with a couple/few drinks in.

I wish they had stuck to the 2 fast 2 furious naming. So, instead of Fast 5, it should have been 5 fast 5 furious.

Then, they could really mix it up, like 6 fast 7 furious, as if the furiousness was increasing faster than the fastness. Think about it.

I saw the preview for the next one and I have to say, it didn't look that bad.

I might rent it when it comes out on video.
