those stats appear to be updated on a daily basis. the newest cbs poll released today shows bush with a 34% all time low approval rating and that page already shows it.

I think there's a huge difference, dumbya is much more malevolent than nixon ever was, dumbya hasn't done anything but pose for photo ops during disaters whether man made (Iraq war) or natural, nixon went to china (really big deal back then). In no way am I condoning nixon, but with a gun to my convict cichlid's head, I'd go for nixon.

And it's too bad Bush's campaign against McCain in 2000 was so viscious. Imagine how different the US would be if McCain had beaten Bush in the primaries. The Republicans have done a lot of bad things, but possibly the worst in recent memory is somehow turning out Bush instead of McCain as the Republican leader for the new century. What were they smoking?
