ummm, and if you read your own link he did take credit for creating the internet. Just later backtracked to say "no, no, that's not what I meant"
happens all the time when a politician opens their mouth. But in Gore's case he bit off way more than he could chew.

I didnt respond b/c youve got to cut the Gore apologists a little slack. Its AL GORE! Who cares?
As far as snopes is concerned, they are not always the be all and end all regarding every item listed at their site.
Im skeptical of thier site to tell you the truth. But what are you going to do?
And before someone jumps the gun, if you defend Gore you are not by default an apologist however your definately on the way to being one.![]()

I've been saving this one for a while, so bear with me....
"this coming from somebody who just paid off his house thanks in a major part to the republicans that have been pushing the economy forward to record levels while lowering taxes."
I know, it sounds outrageous. But truth kind rocks.
Love ya engineer, but we are not going to agree on politics. But if you are ever in the neighborhood I'd love to have a beer with you and maybe then we can step outside with pistols at ten paces to settle our feud.

Everyone conservative is gonna hit vote yes, everyone liberal is gonna vote no. Whats the point of this thread?
I voted for him in 2004 and I would not vote for him again. I think I'd vote Libertarian since I was not favorable to Kerry at all either
Judging from the results, not too many were Fonda Kerry, either.
If Hilary or Kerry or Edwards is the best they can do, we are screwed.
You forgot the guy who invented the internet - Al Gore.
Myth. Never happened.
And here you go...
During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet

I don't venture much in here, but you are in the minority.
The majority of the US want's Bush. This is what we want. We are tired of wusses being our elected officials.
I repeat, this is what we want and our voice has spoken. Like it or not, you are in the minority and represent what is wrong with our country. We are fighting to prevent that from having any say/power in what is best for our country.
We're tired of it. I am tired of it. We need a leader, and we have one thankfully. Not since reagan have we had such a leader.
I remember the very day the planes hit. I immediately said at 9:30 on that very morning "crap, we're going to war. this is how a world war is started. crap. Thank god we have Bush in office and not a wussy."
We need a leader, and we have one thankf

it amazes me that people in this forum think that 90 percent of americans think like they do (a lot of you don't even seem to be americans, which isn't a big deal, but don't say you will or won't vote for bush, your vote isn't relevant. kind of like kerry saying "some foreign leaders want me to be president"). the truth is that this forum is obviously biased far to the left, just look at the topics posted! its by no means an objective, let alone conservative-friendly atmosphere. most americans believed and still do that he was better than the alternatives. don't be surprised that the anandtech forum is not an accurate gauge of the socio-political climate in america today, particularly southern and middle america.

Besides being an excellent leader on every known level, his occassional verbal foilbles are what endear him as a true folk hero. Of course you may disagree in part or whole. Thats ok, this is America.
You know how Id vote, but how about you? Why?
