would you use a coupon on a date?

they were talking about his on the radio yesterday, im married now but i dont know if i would have whipped out a coupon when paying for dinner on a first date....

but it seems like a lot of women would be offended for some reason

no way. Not until we got to know each other better and even then I would mention it before hand. I would imagine most women would think "WTF! cheapskate alert! sound the sirens"

one would gather if somebody pulled this, there will be no second date.

Hookers take coupons now? 😕 😛

Seriously though, no way. Even though i've been with my girl for a long time, dates are one of the only times i get to all out for her. So a coupon would definately be out of the question.

yeah but ironically, ideally the woman should be looking for a guy that is careful with his money, saves and plans for the futrue

if you have a need to use coupons, and she's not cool with it, then maybe she's not for you.

(i actually don't use coupons at restaurants in general, date or not.)

Don't ever confuse what a woman should do and what they actual do. Two totally separate and normally opposite courses of action.

Seems to me like it would depend on the date. I would think it would be best to probably notify her before hand give her some choices. Maybe tell her hey you wanna to weiner schnitzel? i have this 35 cent coupon, or hey I know its expensive, but i would really like to take you out to this great steakhouse and i was able to find this 2 for 1 coupon.

She probably wouldnt be to fond of the weiner snitchel idea, but im sure she would be fine with the steakhouse. This question is also probably age/financial status dependent also. Im sure most any college girl would be happy with going to a nice restaurant and using a coupon just let them know before hand or give them the choice.

so be it. let them think that and weed them out.

now imagine the opposite...you whip out the coupon and she's ok with it. how cool would that be?

On a first date, that is not a good thing to do but afterwards... its fair game.

I love how women hate to be labled as caring about money, but then they bitch about using a coupon.

Either way I doubt I would take someone on a first date where coupons are offered.

After you know her maybe. I used a coupon for a free game of mini-golf, but it was with a friend and I've known her a long time so it wasn't exactly a "date".

Well if it's a % off coupon I don't see a problem of leaving that along with your CC in that little billfold thingy.

Definitely not on a first date. "Cheap" is not the first impression you want to make.

Waiter: May I take your order?

You: Yes, I'll have the roast duck, with the mango salsa...and she'll have an entree of equal or lesser value. Here's my 2 -for - 1 coupon.

Her: (OMGWTF) 😱

I don't think that would fly 😛
