This isn't a parody thread, but a serious question.

Clitoridotomy is the removal of the clitoral hood. Here is a link with some details. What abouty her labia? Would you remove that and why/why not?

Needless to say, I am most interested to see what the people who advocate male circumcision have to say.

EDIT:

A number of you need to read more carefully. Clitoridotomy is the removal of the female foreskin, clitoridectomy is the removal of the clitoris. THE QUESTION IS ABOUT THE FORMER, NOT THE LATTER! READ THE LINK IF YOU ARE CONFUSED.

I'd perform a lobotomy on you for asking such a stupid question.

I first heard about all this over a dinner conversation with a friend. Any kind of mutilation to the genitals is horrible.

Yeah, it's funny to see the reactions from people that fail to realize a circumsized penis is a penis that has been mutilated.

It's funny to see people assume that posters that are outraged believe that mutilation of any kind is a good idea.

There is no reason too, but then again, there is NO reason to remove the foreskin either, it is just a stupid act from traditions that come from religious BS, and that goes for BOTH types or circumsisions.

It is stupid, dumb, stupid, dumb, stupd and INCREDIBLY dumb.

umm no

and this isnt a valid question, men are circumcised because of health reasons and its an accepted practace in like 90% of the world

the female version is only peformed in certian ,iddle eastern countries to keep young women from haveing sex fo pleasure and to keep them faithfull to their husbands, it is ILLEGAL in most of the civilized world for a reason

What health reasons? Every doctor I've talked to about it has said that there are no health risks associated with being uncircumsized. This includes a nephrologist.

BS, men are circumcised because of RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS, if not, most europeans would have health problems with their dicks, actually an overwhelming majority in the world would.

it is an accepted practice in about 10% of the world though, THAT would be about how many men of the total population that are circumcised, it is a Jewish tradition, nothing more nothing less.

When it comes to female circumcision, it is actually for the same reason, religious tradition.

Is it the same, of course not, not even close, is it a horrible practice, yes of course, i am not arguing anything else either, shoudl the ones who perform it be lined up and shot, hey man, hand me the bullets, i will take the next ten.

But you are severly misguided when it comes to male circucision.

Of the Western countries, it's pretty much just America - and Israel for religious reasons. America is the only country which sees fit to do it for 'health' reasons.

In the US it's done mostly from people blindly following society 'norms' and expectations. Jews are the only religion (that I know of) that does it for religious reasons. Most other parents do it, "just because everyone else does".
