Police Auctioneer: Our next item is this pair of panties from a prostitute.

Quagmire: 50 bucks!

Police Auctioneer: She had 8 STD's.

Quagmire: 45 bucks!

Police Auctioneer: And when we caught her, she urinated on them.

herpes simplex 1 is no big deal. its like getting the occasional pimple on the lip. I don't know if I got it or not, but I would certainly date a girl that had it. Lots of children get it from their mothers who tend to kiss them lots when they are little. A completely natural form of transmission.

herpes simplex 2 is another story. if I was sure that it was contracted during a lot of multipartner unprotected sex, then I'd assume that she has HPV as well. in my book, two strikes and you are out. that's only if she tells me she has HSV-2 of course. if she's a good gal that had strong past relationships, I'd date her in a second. Condoms work well against HSV-2.

HPV isn't necessarily and STD. It depends on what type of HPV you mean. Nongenital cutaneous diseases, nongential mucosal diseases, and anogenital disease (which includes cancers), with anogenital and muscosal being the groups containing STDs, but more non-STDs than STDs. Plus, about 22-35% of all women have a form of HPV. Of course, I'm going to assume you're talking about anogenital warts. 🙂

i'm curious...how do u really work around it?
i mean...no kissing, no oral, no regular sex...doesn't leave much left.

You just wait for the break-out period to end (which can last a few to several weeks). IIRC, it's not contagious when it's dormant (which can last in periods of months to years....or it may never break out).

I think its not as contagious...but if perscription drug commercials have taught me anything, its that even with treatment it may be possible to spread gential herpes to others. Even with perscription valtrax.
You take Valtrex?

Hey, I don't have time for Herpes. I have a life.
