I shouldn't talk though. Here in Ontario, you can only buy alcohol from the Government.
That's mostly true but you can buy directly from Breweries and Wineries

Government, or the big brewery monopoly that's been trying to convince everyone that selling beer in grocery stores will bring on the apocalypse.
Well, every cannuck I ever met was basically a drunk. Granted, it was all hockey players, but still.. Imagine if they could get beer almost anyyywhhhereee?!?!?
Nonsense, you know you are just as slushed as the fruitcup!this canuck doesn't drink :awe:
currently waiting on the landlord to approve/sign off on his end of the lease to make it all official :/
this is my first time going through a broker and I'm not altogether happy about the experience, but it's next to impossible to find a good apartment without one, because most owners don't want to have to deal with all the minutia themselves.
real estate agent said it shouldn't be a problem getting the landlord to agree to our two terms (March 1st move-in date and changing the lease to allow for 1 cat), but nothing's official till he signs.
Let me clear this up.Congrats OP, sounds like a good move.
In Canada it's constitutional that you are allowed to have pets in any apartment. I think Landlords can turn you away if you have a pet, but if you move in with no pet and then get one they are obligated to let you, even if it is written into the lease. It's very interesting. Comes from the jurisprudence following from constitutionally entrenched freedom of association, if I remember correctly.
