Would you change your ISP if given a viable (though a little costlier) alternative?

I have COX and I would not change at the moment. They have been working A-OK for the last year. also, i'm not home enough as it is to really research and find a new ISP in my area.

i have cox and would also change in a heartbeat.

fios..fios..where fore art thou, fios...

My parents have FiOS back home and it's awesome. I definitely wouldn't change that.

Here in the city though, I have no choice for a TV/Internet package besides Comcast. If Verizon offered FiOS in the city, I'd get it in a heartbeat.

I have Comcast. I'm happy with the service, but it's too expensive. I voted no, but if I could get a significantly cheaper service, I'd switch

Ditto for me.
They only have one cable plan in my area, but its very fast.
I'd settle for something slower and cheaper. The only way I can utilize 31mbit is with file-sharing, AND THE BASTARDS CLAMP YOUR SPEED WHEN FILE-SHARING!!!!

Did you get the insert pamphlet with your recent bill? They have an economy tier of service at $24.95 mo w/cable or $39.95 without.

It's 1Mbps/384Kbps which may not suit your needs. I only mention it because they don't promote it.

i have suddenlink, which bought cox here, and i might change....if the alternative was better.

when it was cox, it was perfect. fast, no problems. suddenlink has intermittent slow-downs, maybe twice a week. its annoying, but mostly the service is good.

the only alternative here is embarq, which isnt worth a shit.

I answered yes but it is really a very qualified yes. I have Comcast and am generally satisified with them but when they finally hang that FIOS tag on my door I will be switching. Friggin Verizon has done every neighborhood but mine, guess they still hold a grudge for that FCC complaint I filed. 😉

Nope, but I have FiOS. When I move in a few months I am gonna be bummed if I have to go back to cable.

When I had Cox I fucking HATED it and would have changed in a split second without looking back. They're garbage.

That said, I have Time Warner and love it.

have COX, am actually OK with my internet... TV has been a pain, and overall I feel I am paying too much so I will be switching to FIOS in a few months

Ohhh I've gotta check my last bill. I want something cheap since I only online game and surf.

Right now, the only change I'd consider is U-verse, but we're locked into yet another contract with Dish Network...

I've been with AT&T/SBC/Pacbell since the mid 90's and don't plan to change.

Our only cable option is ComCrap...and I AIN'T gonna go that route...

optimum/cablevision and wouldn't change.

my parents have fios, and tbh, I don't care for it... internet speeds seem just the same as my boosted cable connection and the cable sucks ass.

I have Optimum Online also. I might switch to FiOS, but the 24/5 connection vs my current 15/2 won't make that big a difference to me.
