Why would you buy a crappy gun? That is like buying defective condoms or buying a dodge neon. It makes no sense.

Not enough info in the OP to cast an informed vote. Does Option A provide hassle-free service with quick turnaround on any needed repairs, or will you have to jump through hoops and wait 6+ months to get a hopefully repaired rifle back in your hands? Do you have the skillset needed to work on Option B yourself should something go wrong? Are parts readily available (and not cost-prohibitive) if DIY repairs are needed on Option B? Is this going to be a safe queen/toy type purchase, or will it see continued heavy use?

Your looking at 2 rifles to buy:

Rifle A cost around $1,200, has a solid reputation, great quality and comes with a lifetime warranty.

Rifle B cost around $500, has hit and miss quality, and comes with a 1 year warranty.

Would you rather buy the less expensive rifle, and have whatever might be wrong fixed in the first year.

Or would you rather buy the more expensive rifle that has good quality and a lifetime warranty?
I'm pretty sure I'd buy the one that suits my intended purpose better.
