Would you buy a Surface 1030 with the AnandTech logo on it?

If Anand had the Surface 1030 with his logo on it would you buy one? Yes or No.

Make it a Surface 1030 and I'll buy one. Shoot, I'd probably buy a Ratpad version of it just cause it has the logo. :)

No thanks, already got my Surface 1030...

But had I been given the option of paying extra for the logo I would have done it... So maybe that'd be a yes?

I ended up ruining my MS Intellimous Explorer with all the black "crap" that got on the pads of the mouse. I ended up sticking the damn thing in my closet for the dust bunnies.

SpeedGod:

sUrface 1030.

Pariah:

Good mousepad is essential to fragging, any FPS player knows that.

No, I don't pay to advertise for someone. If it was giving away for free, I would take it.

I am using a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical with a Ratpad and I couldn't be happier. I wouldn't recommend it for people with balled mice but for me I find the ratpad is excellent for my optical. It is quite a large surface and very stable. I thought about getting a surface 1030 but I have looked at it and read some reviews and I think it is a good concept but that a ratpad or an everglide is better in practice.

A smooth, dark wood grain desk works wonders with an optical mouse, and it's "free." Besides, there are lots of uses for a mouse besides playing Quake that require a high level of precision.

Are you trying to tell me the free wood grain can be more precise than, say, 3M Precise Mouse Surfacing? Im on an optical and nothing feels better than 3M if precision is your thing, I switch to Everglide when I need to frag people's ass, the sUrface is perfect for both because its double sided.

I wouldn't pay to advertise for someone... I would take the pad for free like gamers.com and firingsquad have done.

For those of you who wont pay to advertise for anyone, explain to me why those Everglides with Quake3 and UT logos are selling like hotcakes?

The mousing surface has very little to do with precision when you're using an optical mouse. If you're using a balled mouse, then yes, a different surface makes a difference. Mousing surfaces won't make your optical more precise, but it may decrease friction between the mouse and the surface making it easier to move.

No, because I already have a Ratpad, which, is great. I liked my Ratpad, so much I even bought one for my mom and one for my sister.

I said I wouldn't, I didn't say others wouldn't. I might buy one with a Game logo if it cost the same as a plain one. But I would never pay more. I also wouldn't buy one with an AMD, IBM, AnandTech, etc logo, because I don't like paying advertising for companies themselves.
