I guess I would buy one, only under one condition! My ratzpad from anand was shipped in a ENVELOPE from the post office and it came with dents on the mouse pad, I wasn't pleased I didn't ask for a refund. I guess its late now!

Remedy, I emailed them about pricing for a bulk order for interested people here, but custom design has to be done in 500+ orders...

I'm thinking we aren't gonna be able to get that many people in on this. So we'll most likely end up just going for the normal colors but with bulk discount like that everglide thing last year.

i have an intellimouse explorer optical. I use my desk, why do you guys use mouse surfaces for optical? I used an all black mousepad and it made the cursor jump around sometimes.

" I thought about getting a surface 1030 but I have looked at it and read some reviews and I think it is a good concept but that a ratpad or an everglide is better in practice. "

IMO surface1030 owns them all. I first got a 3m and used it for a few months, happy with its feel but didn't like it slid around on the desk. I ordered a everglide and was happy it stayed still and liked how it was smoother. I used it for a month or more probably. Then I noticed how people were fu*king rifling me more in UT and i was like damnit. I firgued it was cause my mouse sen was so high and mousepad so smooth. I grabed my old crusty 3m and played for a few days and could rifle alot better. So i got a new 3m that wasn't bent in half and sh*t and used it. Then i read the review of surface1030 at fireing squad so i preordered it. It came and i was like.... damn this thing owns. It feels more like a 3m than a everglide. Its a little smoother than a 3m but much less than a everglide. (i've never tried the smooth side) plus it never slides on the desk so BOOM its perfect. Since i got it i've been happy. it doesn't get crusty like a 3m, it doesn't slide around like a 3m, and it feels right.

Oh ya i have a boomslang 2000 fyi.

The only reason i came up with this thread is because i remember someone awhile back having a thread about anand selling case badges like some of the other sites do. So i Figured why not try and get some mousepads done but i see more ppl bickering about its way of promoting anandtech and this other BS. Its like you can't have anything good in these forums without some deeekheads spoiling it.

Sorry if I'm one of the deeekheads. I'd be fine with an Anandtech one, I just don't think we'll get enough people (500+) for it to be done.
