Considering the OP is from New York, the chances of the lady being armed is very low. He probably has several minutes from the time she dials 911 to the time the cops show up - if they can even get through the traffic.

If the OP was in Texas, he would be taking his life in his own hands, considering the amount of women applying for a concealed carry permits.

Well, in my city in TN, > 10% of the population has a CCW permit, figure another 10% or so are carrying without a permit, safe to say, this city is armed to the teeth.

Minus the percentage of the population with a concealed .38, probably even more carry pepper spray or stun guns.
