it's $256/month for a 32 player server from EA that works with the ranks system.

Would anyone be interested in venturing in on it with me or a few others? or maybe we could get a bunch of ATers together to contribute to a server?

I live in Texas, and I get about 60, most others from the east and west coast get good pings also.

EDIT: IP is 70.86.207.138 if you want to check it out.

That's what the EA rental site says. I'm not sure if they have some great feature that I don't quite know :p but they seem like a ripoff now compared to the other sites.

If there is anyone out there who would like to go in on it 50/50 with me let me know :) Don't want to have too many people contributing because everyone will want admin access then, and I'm sure that'll just be a pain in the servers butt!

I would suggest getting just a 32 player server, 64 player maps are notoriously laggy; also, most people prefer having 32 players (at least, i think).

I was under that impression too. I wonder if I would get it for BF2 or BF2: Special Forces! Hmm!

Now when it comes to computers, electronics, DVDs, shoes and hair products ... the cheaper the better.
