Would the War on Drugs have been more successful if Predator drones were used?

drug problem is driven by the loopy dizzy fools that are recreating with their brain chemistry. Drug test public/private schools including admin. If we can make police/fire/safety sensitive line up to stay clean we can do the schools too. It's a demand driven problem.

The people running war on individual rights are the same people profitting from war on drugs(Individual rights). Lets just get this civil war going already enough talk.

As the owner of a company that has a patent on an expensive opioid pain killer, I think it's reprehensible that anyone would even consider generic cannot-be-patented morphine. The low cost ensures low quality. It's the law of economics. Buy my drug.

It's what President Buchanan proposed. Damn that Steven Douglas!

However your guy Obama was the first to set precedent by actually authorizing a drone strike on a US citizen without a trial and authorizing a second strike that also killed a second US citizen (The first guy's 16 year old son).

No. It is an unwinnable "War" and I'm not sure if "Winning" was ever really the point of it. At least as far as eliminating Drug Use is concerned.

That's about 100,000+ less civilians that were killed under your boys watch aka Buuuuuush in Iraq alone.

So what you're saying is that you should have trials for every person who defects to an enemy nation or hostile group? That's messed up. It would take forever to get anything done. All it would take is 100 US citizens spread across Russia and you wouldn't be able to nuke any given city. The whole country might as well roll over and die.

Obama should have started a 9 month campaign of Innuendo, Lies, and Half Truths followed by an Invasion.

Iraq has been a bad girl. It's all slick and oily. We'll penetrate it with repeatedly then blow loads of troops into it. After 9 months the whole situation will gestate into a massive financial burden that will last for 18 years.

:'(

What purpose would the drones improve? It is the lack of political will to enforce the laws. Use of the drones may spot traffic, it still needs to be intercepted and evaluated. That requires manpower. States are not allowed to suplement the Feds and the Feds are not allocated resources to do the job. You are not thinking about arming military drones over the US?

Of course you can just ignore that thing under the rug known as the US Constitution while you stammer on with "But..bbbbbut.. Bush!!" arguments that have very little to do with the topic at hand, i.e. "Would the War on Drugs have been more successful if Predator drones were used".

Some political idiots here have reading comprehension problems.

Best to ignore him until/if he grows up.

What in the hell did your original quote have to do with the OP?

I agree.

What a silly thread title.

To the point:

Would the war on drugs be more successful if assassination were used?

The questions then to be:

  • Who to be killed?
  • Where to kill?
  • What agency to do the killing?
  • Upon who's orders to kill?
  • If the criminal classification of narcotic smuggling and profiteering is to be an extra-judicial capital offence, then what further allegations of crime may state assassination follow through to?
In the end, an utterly stupid pretence for a topic and of one that has no business for consideration in a modern and independant judicial state that abides to contemporary morals and legally ratified treatises.

Regarding the war on drugs, the only way to win is not to play.

I used to have very hardline positions regarding drug use. On a personal level I still do, but overall I see that our prohibition on drugs has caused more societal harm than it fixed. The use of drones to fight the war on drugs is akin to using gasoline to put out a grease fire.

The war on drugs is a waste of time, money, and lives for insufficient gain and the imposition of a select group's moral code. Fuck the war on drugs.

Law enforcement is always easier when enforcers can ignore the law, when they have no rules. Happens all the time, in a lot of places none of us want to live in.
