Yeah not necessarily chick car, but car for someone wanting brand/luxury but whom doesn't really care about performance.

That's basically the definition of chick car. How much power does it have? What's the mileage? Does it have limited slip? How many gears does the automatic transmission have?
"I don't know. I bought it because it was sparkly and the salesman winked at me "
In northern california, chicks who want badge drive Mercedes or Lexus. Hell, my older sis has the ES350 and younger sis has C300. BMWs of all types I typically see guys driving, except the X5, lots of women in those.
X3 for women IMO. Shit car...
But it is made and engineered in America!

WTH? No.
3 series = chick car.
From the standard masculine American view that you're not a man unless you've bought the top engine...yes.
To be honest though, the 3/528i cars from BMW drive pretty nicely. The engine is as smooth as butter and returns decent gas mileage. If I had a commute that involved a lot of traffic and long distances...I'd certainly consider one. Don't get me wrong, a nice, powerful engine is great...but not always necessary. You can have plenty of fun with a smaller engine.
