I already posted the drivers guide for Washington which explicitly states that on 3+ lane roads the right most lane is for trucks, exits, and slower than speed limit vehicles, the middle is for vehicles traveling faster than them (ie the speed limit), and the left for passing only. It also clearly states that it is the responsibility of PASSING vehicles to change lanes, not those traveling at speed.

So, you're flat out wrong. At least in many states.

I must rise to meet the level of douchery of those who speed for pricks sake. I am 100% serious however. I almost never speed (maybe 3-5 times in my life), except by accident. I follow traffic laws to a level that would make the OCD champ say 'holy shit'. I absolutely believe that 100% of the speeding mentality is ignorance, selfishness, and stupidity, and that people who indulge in it are inherently worse human beings than those who don't.

We weren't making ranked comparisons as to the quality of a human being in light of various offenses, we were specifically looking at comparisons only between those who obey rules/laws designed for societal continuance, and those who don't. Therefore the only possible way to make your comparison applicable would be to ask if I found people who broke the law and had sex with children were worse human beings than those who obeyed the law and didn't. My answer is yes, I think those who rape children are worse than those who don't...just like people who speed are worse than those who don't. It's still a GOD AWFUL comparison, but at least now it's rationally/logically equivalent to my original statements.

There are two ways to have a 'society': every man for themselves, or collective agreement of behaviors. It's one of those either/or situations. Now, just because we embrace the idea of law doesn't mean we're forced to accept BAD law. Slavery was bad, we fought it, forced a fight, and finally abolished it. No problem. If you think traffic laws are a bad idea, just get enough people to agree with you that you can not only win at the polls but force acquiescence by those who disagree. Then you can get your way. Until then, by choosing to disobey societal standards you choose to place yourself above others, which is the definition of selfishness. You choose to endanger others, which is also selfish as well as stupid. Mostly you choose to deny the overwhelming evidence and rational argument against your actions, which is the very definition of ignorance.
