Would 32 cores benefit me more than 16?

meh...you guys and your "desktop" computers are so lame...i switched to internal brain chips ages ago.

my brain does 10 TeraFLOPS with a mild O/C. but i might need to replace my anti-brain-freeze soon cause i've been hot-headed lately.

I AM DA FEW-CHOR!

Ha, Its too bad my Nuclear Fusion Cerebrum Implantation Device (NFCID) sprang a leak and i went into a coma for a couple days. Its worth it as i can do SuperPI 32m in -1hour, and yes that means it reverses time!!!!

where you get a 16 core even?

Intel Core 4, of course.

You dont have a E9900?

I got the E9800 and saved a good bit of cash. These things run pretty hot though, even though they're on the 22nm process.

I would still advise you to wait.... :)

Yeah, Intel needs to work at shrinking the process. My liquid hydrogen system still has trouble with my E9800 after I overclocked it to 3Thz.

To keep up with the processors, you also need dodecafire with 20 HD(10^15)XTX:s

how big of a psu? I like the new high wattage 150w psu's theyre good right?

PC Power and Cooling's new 1.21 gigawatt nuclear fission PSU will work.

On the website it actually says nuclear fusion... a trillion times the thermal output of a conventional reactor! It's cooled by liquid gold heatpipe technology and has 18 wheels for highway mobility.

Yeah, but they will only have 32megs of cache, I think the IBM/AMD/ATI 'Athens' X 16 with 128meg cache will probably blow it out of the water.

All you noobs with your stupid silicon CPUs. My computer is powered by magic-dust-sprinkled-chinchillas running on a wheel. No worries about TDP - except that their little hearts burst into bloody gibs if you try to overclock them. I'm still waiting for my pair of Cryoright mechanical hearts to arrive.

I'd probably get 420 fps in 'Counterstrike: Fortress Crysis' if only Matroxvidia got off their lazy asses and refined their Windows Vienna 128-bit drivers.

You and your physical computers with physical processing cores. I'm using a quantum-light anyon-tachyon conversion personal computer (QLATC PC). It runs everything at 3.733YHz (for those of you that don't know, that's YottaHertz, or 3.733x10^24 Hertz). I get so many FPS @ 16M*9M resolution that it melted my virtual-reality display. If only Windows Revolution XPX ran on 1024-bit computing.

Neural net processors are the way to go.
Personally I want something like the precogs off of minority report.
That way I can start the pc, it will tell me everything I will do, what games I will play and how they will turn out.

pc: "Your going to play counter strike and really suck, you will fail miserably"
me: "Well I guess I will just check email"
pc: " theres a ton of spam, lots of bills"
me: " hmm, well I guess I will work on my term papers"
pc: "You will start to work on it, then forget to save it and the program will crash , losing all your work"

Me: gets up walks away from pc with head lowered in shame.

I thought about it, but the cost of a system like that is just too much for me to bear right now, btw I heard that scientists are almost done inventing magic, so there might not be a need for us to buy quantum-light anyon-tachyon conversion personal computers.

pifft...

My PDA phone based off Asgard/Ancient hybrid technology has 3D Modeling documentations on how to use the 3 seashells.

Im waiting for my diamond heat sink to arrive so i can cool my 1 million 3dmark producing thinking AI.

3,000C is a bit too hot for that processor.

Noobs.

No one can defeat my quantum singularity powered Intel Googo Core at 16PHz, with 4096PB of DDR16 RAM, and hexa SLI'ed 2TB 100,800GTX Ultras.

I get 100 FPS on Supreme Commander.

Quad socket Xeons with Quad core chips I'd assume. Not that you can run a consumer OS with 4 sockets.

I'll bet there are a lot of "consumer" OS' that will run that. I'd guess most 64bit (or higher) *nix distro would get them up and running.

that's because it's a single core.... Supreme Commander uses 32 Cores.
