Quad socket Xeons with Quad core chips I'd assume. Not that you can run a consumer OS with 4 sockets.

The question "Would 32 cores benefit me more than 16?" is very similar to "Can we (humans) run or manage 32 or even 16 programs on a computer at a time?"

PC Power and Cooling's new 1.21 gigawatt nuclear fission PSU will work.

Shens, cray was bought out by x3dfx years ago! Shortly after nvidia announced its shift purely into automotive electronics.

Intel Core 4, of course.

You dont have a E9900?

I got the E9800 and saved a good bit of cash. These things run pretty hot though, even though they're on the 22nm process.

Dell has a new yugo brand desktop.

I heard yugo FAST!

incase anyone is lost, this thread is mainly because of all the people questioning if they need quads to run daily windows.

Think of this entire thread as sarcasm.

Yeah, it would be pretty funny if someone was thinking to themselves "when did 32-core processors come out, I've been out of the loop for a while I guess."

We need more Jigowatts! My harddrives are failing! My Tera-Core 80-core processor runs wicked cool on a LN2 circulating loop.

Oh, and by the way, I cured cancer.
