Portishead - Sour Times (unlike any other PH song, and terrible, and especially terrible on PNYC)
Sonic Youth - Sugarcane (obvious attempt at radio hitdom)
Tool - Crawl Away - (the most uninspired, obvious, and trite lyrics of any Tool song)
Pink Floyd - anything past The Wall is NOT by Pink Floyd, should not be considered Pink Floyd, yet is titled PF and loved by the can't-let-go PF fans, i.e. anything on Momentary Lapse, Division Bell, etc.

Crawl Away? Paul was freakin awesome in that song. One of my all time fav tones, even to this day.

Funny thing is, the first song that jumped into my mind is Sober. I love Tool, but that song is just god awful. I mean, really. Really. Really bad.

Have to agree with you there. Sober is the only Tool song that sounds to me like it's a crappy recording from some guy's cell phone - it's just awful. And the only Tool song that I would use that word for.

am I the only person that LIKES sober?

no

Rush - Countdown
Soundgarden - Face Pollution

Cream - Anyone for Tennis
CS&N - 49 bye-byes
Doors - Touch Me
Dylan - Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands

No, I'm with you on liking Sober.

However, I'm on the other side of the Pink Floyd fence from you. PF post-RW is different, but still excellent.

Any song that Ringo wrote.

Octopus's Garden is a lovely song, and Ringo was awesome.

McCartney was the heart,
Lennon was the soul,
Harrison was the brains,
Ringo was the peace keeper.

I have heard that both Harrison and McCartney admit that if it wasn't for Ringo the band would have never made. He kept them all going. Especially through all the early year bullshit.

Paul was just freaking awesome. I still miss him, and the sound tool had with him. Justin is fine, but different.

My problem with the song is not the music, it's only the lyrics. I love the tune, and even with the awful lyrics it's still better than 99% of the pure garbage out there, but the lyrics do throw me on that one.

Sober? Are you kidding, one of the better drum intros in music, and the quintessential MUDDY tool guitar and bass sound! [beavis&butthead] DUH NUH DUH NUH [/beavis&butthead]

Hmmm, "The final cut" is an awesome album IMO...

Leftovers from The Wall... (I always forget about FC).

Yeah, It's too bad Paul left. I like him a lot better than Justin. Like you said, Justin is fine, but Paul was the shit.

And, yes, I am serious. Sober is just a horrible song. HORRIBLE. Undertow is one of my favorite albums of all time, but I've been skipping track three since the day it came out.......

Very different. Paul's tone was the mother fucking shit though; glad Justin copied him on 10k days lol

that song makes me want to strangle puppies

that was George Harrison solo.

and yeah, I hate that song, its named "My Sweet Lord".

He actually got sued & had to settle for plagiarizing 'he's so fine' by some 60s girl group.

I agree! That song blows!

Blasphemy! Stipes and Pierson sounded awesome together.

sure they did, on "Me in Honey" (last track on the CD)

and on "Fretless", which was left off the album. We could have done without SHP.

That's not their worst song, though; their worst is probably "Airportman" from Up.
