That being said, they play a lot more then just death metal.
Even though most of their tunes are of the death metal variety, I'd call them more of a progressive metal band then anything else. Their music is closer to Dream Theatre or Porcupine Tree then say ... Gorerotted or Isacaarum.

EDIT: I don't really enjoy any emo or rap or hip hop. Sometimes I really just can't stand it. Sometimes I'll mock people who like it a lot, and try to "act" like an emo or a gangbanger by using their taste in music to push their buttons. But really, every style of music has it's place.

Emo, because the term is so confused and meaningless these days. Even in the early stages, emocore versus emo versus indie emo, too much crap to keep track of. Now it seems like anyone and everyone is emo. Someone might call me emo for singing happy birthday to a friend out of tune. Someone needs to standardize the term to something meaningful. If that happens, then definitely I would pick death metal.

ok thats a really unfair quesiton. There are degrees of each music. There is REALLY emo..and just kinda emo. There is HARDCORE SUCK METAL...and ok metal. There is the avg "i'm a pimp, shes a ho, suck my cock" thing and then there is actually some really good Rap and hip hop.

That being said...country sucks 😛

If you don't like Morrissey, obviously you cannot "appretiate" (appreciate) him.

Most people who don't like his music have only heard one or two songs or heard something about him on the news.

He's the greatest ever.

I would call Porcupine Tree progressive metal and Opeth progressive death and I would call Dream Theatre something I could never get into 😛

textbook mancrush?

I can't believe so many morons dislike death metal just because of the vocals. Listen to it for the music. The musicians are extremely talented.

Most people like Papa Roach with crappy musicians, yet they hate bands like Death because the way the singer's vocals are.

CRAPPY VOCALS EQUALS CRAPPY MUSIC!1!1! Retards.

Making a statement like "the whole rap/hop hop scene" is as bad as condemning "the whole rock scene". Just like rock, what you hear on the radio and see on MTV is NOT representative of all hiphop. Not even close.

What sort of nonsense is this? Vocals is part of the music. Do you listen to death metal at a karaoke bar or something? I listen to it with the vocals. If the vocals sound like ass it's kind of hard to appreciate any other aspects of it. Even bands where the vocals sound weird eventually grow on you, like Talking Heads or The Decemberists. Death metal never grows on you because it's not that you are unaccustomed to the vocals, it's that the vocals sound like crap.

I had confining music to such general genres.

There is some "emo"-like stuff that I find listenable...

There is some "death-metal" that I can appreciate (although, I can't really stand screaming for vocals)

There is some good country-like music out there (bluegrass and the such).

There is some good hip/hop, but I dislike the "thug/fvck them b!tches" scene.

What are you on about? If your attention only goes to the vocals, then you're a moron. I love the awesome guitaring, drumming etc. If you don't like the vocals and can't appreciate the music, maybe you should stick to listening to Fall out boy and Papa Roach.

I'm referring to the fact that you think that vocals and music are two seperate things. Vocals are part of music.

It doesn't go only to the vocals. But it's like trying to listen to beethoven while my cat is wailing. Not exactly a great musical experience. Why would I bother listening to a genre that at best sounds like that, and at worst sounds like my cat wailing during garbage cans clanging together? I choose to listen to music which doesn't sound at all like a cat wailing. Keep in mind I do not actually think death metal vocals sound like cats wailing, it's an analogy.

You are truly master of the spelling, btw.

No one would misspell "a" (what it was intended to say) as "can." So clearly it was a typo, not a spelling error.
So, you were trying to say, "Wow, a 80x120 image..."?
You are truly master of the grammar, too, btw.
Also, C is no where near A or N, so it was more than just a typo.
