Anyone who is associated in any way with the Old Navy commercials needs to die a slow horrible death aired on pay per view.

There's some business that keeps advertising on the radio that they offer discounts for people 55 "or better". That pisses me off for some reason. Honestly, I doubt old people enjoy the patronization any more than young people enjoy the implied insult and defacement of the english language.

Geico commercials are awesome though :)

Eh, I've heard old people use better to mean higher. Like "He's 5'4" or better" or "This cabinet weighs 50 pounds or better".

Anyway, the worst are:

McDonald's- Stupid from beginning to end. No redeeming qualities.
The Gap- Stupid from beginning to end. No redeeming qualities.
Old Navy- Stupid from beginning to end. No redeeming qualities.
Vonage- Horrible Music.
Toyota- Just dumb.
All Collect Calling Numbers- Decent enough ideas, poor execution.

Do you remember one of their ads on tv during the holiday season last year? The one with a group of people singing about sweaters in a bowling alley in front of a girl.
The ads were pretty annoying but that girl is super cute! :)

On nickalodeon, between the shows that my four year old watches, there is a Chef Boyardee commercial. In this commercial a little girl is asked what she wants for dinner. When she responds with "chef" she is told no she has already had it too much this week. The sad little girl puts the can back on the shelf.
The can then falls off the shelf and is seen 'following' the little girl home. Out the store, behind her car, and into her home. The mom is suprised - how did that get here?

If they aren't telling kids to steal cans of pasta I am completely missing the point of the campaign.

Old Navy
Gap
Kia

Also add in any commercial with an alarm in it, like an alarm clock-type alarm. Pop Tarts did that once. It's such a b-ll sh-t way to get the attention of people. I HATE the sound of my alarm, and it's a hate that's saturated right to the core of my bones. I sure as sh-t don't want to hear it on TV.

My pick is a toss up between McDonalds anything and Coke anything. For being such commercial juggernaughts you think they could hire a remotely competent marketing team. I can't begin to describe how irritating these campagins are to me.

How about you?

Anything Geico related, except the original Geico ad (i.e., not to be confused with gecko). The one I so find stupid is the one with that chick Jennifer and her bf. The stupid cry.... Then the guy says he's just saved a bundle on his car insurance by switching to Geico, and she turns her back on him. What the hell was that ad supposed to convey? It's the lamest ad that I could think of ... at the moment. (Hopefully I'm not mixing up two different auto insurance companies.)

Actually I thought that was kind of funny :)

Another one I thought was great was the "Little House" one where a couple moves into a mini house... funny as hell:D
