Gonna have to disagree in a big way here. Chris Cornell's Bond song was complete and utter shit; an insult to both Soundgarden's memory and to Bond.
The White/Keys song is fantastic, both as a Bond song and as something that can stand on its own. Who better to choose for it than the two biggest and most talented artists of the modern R&B genres? It has the swagger, tension, and sultriness that a proper Bond song demands. Great dynamics, great tones, great melodies.
This isn't music for 8-year-olds, but movie scores never should be, and I appreciate that they pushed beyond the safe realm of shitty pop to make something with substance. If you just don't like music, you should probably go back to your Jonas Brothers records and stop complaining about the quality of something you don't like in the first place. If you don't like lobster, don't bitch when you get lobster instead of Bagel Bites. Just admit to yourself that you don't like lobster and eat something else instead of trying to stomach something that's too challenging for you.

Edit - Casino Royale is rated 94% for critics and 93% for community members on Rotten Tomatoes. It was a breath of fresh air after the horrible Brosnan years.

i liked the previous bond movies, even the brosnan ones (although brosnan wasn't as good as the older guys), better than CR. I just enjoyed them more. I don't know why, i just did.

my point is that the Brosnan/Moore flicks were lacking in character development/ film plotting. Not to mention the slap-stick ridiculousness and pedophilia of Roger Moore's Bond.
So yeah, if you don't get that out of watching those, then I think you don't have a keen eye for criticism.
