I will say that I don't identify with the .001% of our fan base that get jazzed up by burning furniture and tossing cars.

I've never been to the game, but hearing about all the stories most of which include felonious assault by a bunch of drunken fans while people were escorting their 80 year old grandma to the game also while the police looked on and only smiled in tacit approval seems a little over the top.

Yeah I chose not to lay down the $500 for nosebleed section either. However, I fail to see the problem with giving a um fan a good beating now and then.

Seriously, we should all act with class.

while i am hoping the packers win, i am always waiting for the team we all expected to be here this season to show up. they really dont have a running game and we cant rely on favre to win with his arm every game. so i am hoping they win but i will not be surprised if they loose. althought this is one of those game where i dont care if we loose every other game of the season as long as we beat the vikings type games. keeping my fingers crossed

I don't get mad. I just marry a Greenbay fan and convert them to Vikings fans! My wife lived in the same neighborhood as Favre and Holmgren. We met at the Univ of MN when she was a packer fan. Now she's seen the light.

this is exactly what I heard last spring. first it's all about how the packers and mainly farve are all washed up.....then rumor was farve wanted to be traded and play on a different team. Those same smart mouths were all hyper about the chance he would be playing for the vikes

The funny thing is the media makes this HUGE stink of the Bears/Packers rivalry, when for the most part there is mutual respect between the players and the fans. Interestingly enough the Vikings/Packers rivalry is INTENSE between players and fans. They all HATE eachother.

Remember last season when the Packers instituted the Zone blocking and the big pussies on the Vikings D Line were crying about cut-blocks and such? LOL

Vikings and their fans can stick it. Hell they can't even get enough love in their own state to get a new stadium off the ground.

But I have no false pretenses that any of the guys are any good at all. As far as them being "allegations", sure, if that's how you want to think of it, that's your opinion. However, having a wife from Greenbay lends a little more creedence to the allegations since she actually knew people involved. Still heresay, but a little more accurate. She has no vested interest in lying.

Don't live in a state, rip on it, and not have a great position to do so from. Really, it's just ridiculous and hypocritical. From my perspective, Packers fans think their crap doesn't stink and usually can't take some ribbing. Heck, my MIL can't take it either. She runs around coddling her Favre signed football and bitches her daugher is now a vikings fan, while getting mad at me for it.

I have no preconceptions about the Vikings, but I wouldn't go live in WI and say that I have some high-ground to rip on the Packers. The Packers' glory days are gone, long gone.

Again, it's not "smartmouth'n", it would imply that a person has a position of respect. You started off on the wrong foot by opening up your own mouth. The Packers aren't a SB quality team and Favre doesn't have the time to get them to that point. As a person that shook his hand a year and a half ago at Disney (not sure why he was there since he was a big loser that season), I can tell you that he's getting old.
