1985 Pontiac 6000.
Absolute piece of crap.

1994 Olds Cutlass Cierra, which was practically identical, runs quite well still today.
Almost 10 years without a redesign! :Q

1979 Chevy van. Bought new.
Couldn't keep a radiator in it (4).
Oil pump went once a year (oil and filter were changed every 3000 miles).
3 limited slip rear ends - noisiest knocking you ever heard.

1990 convertible Dodge Dakota truck. Very pretty, very cruddy. Everything fell apart. After we sold it, we bought a Dodge van, something around a 1990 model as well. Always breaking. No one in my family will ever buy a Dodge product again, lol.

pics of said truck

Neat concept, a convertible truck. It was fun. The roof would always leak and we were always replacing parts, however. We got a cool paintjob for it and my brother bought some trick rims, but in the end, it was a piece of junk. I'm sticking with my 1993 Saturn sedan for now :)

My biggest POS car I ever owned was a 1988 Acura Legend Coupe back in 1990. To compound matters, the parts were very expensive. I had that car less than a year.

1989 Honda Accord. I put SO much money into it and parts were crazy expensive - at least compared to my GM cars I've owned. It's the only car that's ever left me stranded - and it did so twice.

A 75 Monte Carlo. It ran ok but the fscking Hood sprung and it rusted under the Landau Roof. I should have kept my 69 Riviera.

first car = 80's volvo = did it's thing for a while then i ran it into the ground
second car = 95 mitsu galant = was ok for a while, then overheated non-stop, even after getting it fixed, got recalled a couple times
third car = 80's camry = paid the least for it and seems to run the best of them all though it does need some TLC

I've had 3 cars:
92 Saturn SC2
92 Civic EX
97 Accord EX

And I have had very very little problems with all 3. The Civic had the most problems, but that's because it had over 300,000 on it when I sold it. The only things that went bad, were the CV joints, struts, and brake rotors. (all because of high mileage)

I like both my subaru legacy and my mustang... they are both great for what I use'em for.

The better question would be: worst cars I've ever driven

Ford Expedition
GM Metro
Toyota Corola
Toyota Solara (Only because the suspension was WOEFULLY out of step with the rest of the car, far far far too squishy, felt as tipsy as an explorer)
speaking of, Ford Exploder
RAV4.... in fact.... I'd write off all SUV's designed primarily for pavement as garbage...

Nothing else I've driven.... and I've driven a lot of different cars for my age, really comes to mind when it comes to writing off as crap

82 Plymouth Reliant station wagon. Poor thing couldn't get above 65 without feeling like it would fly apart. I also enjoyed how the passenger compartment flooded when it rained, and how I had to rock the car out of park whenever I parked it on a hill. Sweet.

Considering I've only had 2 cars, my '90 Grand Prix would have to be the "worst" because it was older. It did have a problem with the alternator going out every couple years, but other than that it never gave me any trouble.

1988 Dodge Ares... Youd turn on the maplight on the passenger side, the radio died. Everytime you started the car, all presets were lost and the clock would go to 12:00. Drove it for half a year and then it died.

my first car was a 1990 nissan stanza. by the end, everything was going and parts were soooo expensive to replace.
my second car is a 2001 sunfire. no complaints as it was cheap and i haven't had to repair it and it only has to last 3 more years until my student loan is paid off.

1979 chevy monza hatchback. Bought it for $500, drove the hell out of it but it started having major problems. The frame was weak, and the weight of the engine was making it sag. Took it in for an alignment and the garage said it was a goner, and they couldn't do anything about it. I kept driving it, and it ate a new pair of front tires about every 30 days. I just kept buying retreads for it. It was pulling to the right so bad if you let go of the steering wheel you'd end up in the ditch. Got about 5 mpg when I sold it for $50

94 Ford Escort

Someone once told me that the escorts are "disposable" cars. I have a tendancy to belive them now. First off I bought the car on ebay for $700, ran, drove looked decent. The blower Motor and A/C didnt work but I didnt care at the time. The first problems I had was when I tried to get it titled, aparently the previous owner never bothered to get it transfered into her name and left me holding the bill. After months of emtpy threats to sue her for my money back (I didn't have the money to hire a lawyer) I gave up and looked for alternatives. Found out that I could get a bonded Title, and did so, to the tune of $100. Drove it for about 3 months then one day i turn the car on and the idle shoots to redline. I didnt have time to mess with it , so i jammed it in gear and went. Finaly got it to idle lower, but roughly by unplugging the IAC. It probably had an Intake gasket leak... Soon after this the transmission wouldnt shift past second gear and the fluid was dark and muddy. Used it for short trips that i didnt have to go over 35 mph. One day it simply wouldnt start. I dont know what happened. Gave up and sold it on Ebay as a parts car.
I am very warry to ever buy another Ford....

75 Buick Regal 4 door...nicknamed the Beast

Drove this bad boy through high school. Bought if for $800. Could seat 8 without anyone sitting on anyone elses lap. Drove it for about 4 years. In the end it had a number of problems.

-Could only fill the gas tank half full as there was a hole in it
-Radiator leaked so that you could see steam coming out and needed water about twice a week
-You could hear several of the valves hitting the valve cover (there was even an outward dent on one)
-Muffler was held in place by two coathangers
-AM only radio which sounded like crap since someone had dumped a soda on the speaker (that's right singular!)
-Cracked headlight surrond (only damage from hitting a telephone pole at 20mph)
-Frequently at startup it would only run on 3 or 4 cylinders...kind of cool sounding

And still managed to pawn the thing off on someone for $500!

Ditto...I had a 1989 Pontiac Sunbird for a while... The engine was manufactured in Brazil...it was a piece of CHEAP crap. :p

I had an '88 or '89 POS Sunbird too (known to me by it's more affectionate name, the Sunbitch, dubbed by my friends). Maybe we should start an ATOT Sunbird Survivors Club.

Can't really say it was my worst car, since I also drove a '93 Dodge Intrepid for a while also. It'd have to be a toss-up.
