Worm Activity

Lately, I have been getting kicked from the internet and can't reconnect. When I got to check my processes in the task manager, I notice that my cpu activity jumps constantly from 0 to 7%. I shut down my computer, which takes longer than usual, and then when I restart the oscillation is gone. I've scanned my computer a few times already and nothing has shown up (I use McAfee if that matters). Does anyone know what it could be?

can you post the running processes in taskmgr?

also it is possible that spyware is clogging up system resources... try using spybot search & destroy and adaware 6 (with updated reference files and stuff) and seeing if that turns up anything.
