World record 183 chicken wings in 12 mins

Not that I could possibly eat 183 wings in 12 minutes, or even 3 hours, but it's pretty easy to strip chicken wings.

But can she cook?

She is the manager if a Burger King...

I'm just glad they put sauce on these. I know a guy who was in the Best of the West rib-eating competition last week that Joey Chestnut won. He said the ribs had no seasoning, no sauce, and were served cold/ambient temp. That would be a hard 7.5 pounds of pork to swallow.

How big were the wings? At my favorite place, that's close to 20 pounds of wings. At other places, it's closer to 30 pounds of wings.

:hmm: honestly I don't think I've had that many in my life

Not that I don't like wings, there's just been very few times we've went out for them.

How much meat can be left on the bones while still being "eaten". I bet there was quite a few wings worth of meat that wasn't eaten.

Wouldn't surprise me. That was the thing that always stuck out to me with the Nathan's July 4 contest: the top eaters pretty obviously ate all hot dogs necessary but they also pretty obviously didn't eat the buns, there were huge chunks of liquid-soaked bun everywhere.

I think that "competitive eaters" have found that the messier they are the less they actually have to eat. They can push the remainder around and nobody calls them on it.

A lot of the competitions are done by weight before and after.

Eh, checking the IFOCE website its maybe 30-40% by count and 60-70% by weight. But even the contests by weight would be susceptible to shenanigans. They typically don't pick the stuff up off the floor and weight it, and they don't weight the amount on contestants' faces/clothes/etc. Back when I had TV service I watched some eating contests and I've seen a few in person and I would be surprised if there wasn't at least a 10% loss due to sloppy eating that never gets counted.

Judging by how skinny she is she probably eats quite healthily most of the time. If you're normally a wholesome eater but gorge on crap once a month I doubt it affects you very much.
