Missed your edit in your previous post-

people forget this but seduce is an awsome CC when used properly

Would that be demo spec at level 80? ;) The one area where I think mages still thoroughly spank locks(or any other class) is cc. When arc spec in a pinch I can controll cc 3 mobs at once(sheep, fb, slow)- I really think that is one area where mages straight out throttle locks(or anyone else for that matter :) ).

you have spirit based regen correct, we have none, 1:1 we are equal

I'd give half my spellbook up for lifetap, maybe more. When we raid locks don't pick up food or water- they aren't going oom.

its all about group synergy, we can get out BM huntards doing 2500+ DPS when we stack their group, mages can reach 2400ish with a perfect stacked group

Agreed, but no matter how you approach it right now mages are not a truly viable raid class outside of their ability to sheep(AI is nice, but you wouldn't bring a boomkin just for gift).

Don't mean to burst your bubble on the CC...but on my lock I can take care of 4 mobs provided one is a demon/elemental. Banish 1, Seduce 1, fear 2. Fear 2 you ask? Nice thing about fear is it makes them run away, so you can bounce fear on two mobs. Mind you this was before seduce was autocastable even. I still prefer macros and casting it myself.

Granted my DPS was limited to what few dots I could cast between casting fears, but it was entirely possible.

controll cc 3 mobs

Using your rather rare example(1 humanoid 1 ele/demon) you can controll cc 2, actually I'll help you out and say that if you were specced for it you could manage 3 with CoE if done properly. Banish is solid, as is CoE- seduce is very sketchy at best unfortunately. Fear in a raid tends to be spelled wipe ;)

Almost forgot- Welcome to the forums :)

i for one am not looking forward to the vast number of recycled models they will undoubtedly use in the expansion. saying that now we're back in azeroth so you should expect the same old creatures is a total cop-out.

Who would have guessed that Blizzard would care less about players with no lives than the vast majority of players? I mean it's not like they did a South Park episode making fun of the "elite" WoW players, is it?

well they didn't do what I asked for. I wanted bombs.
A ghoul that would run up to the target and explode. X00 direct damage and X00 dot.

Genx hit it right on the nose

Overpowered and bait to get people to come back only to nerf it back to reality at 3 months.

yep they will nerf this in the ground after everyone makes one.

Hell the shaman has 8 bug brokens on the blues conference that have NEVER been addressed.

ONE BIG THING I HATE about blizzard is they want to do something new all the time but they NEVER fix anything.

no they were making fun of people that play all day, most of the top raiders and PvPers play LESS then your average casual

its quite true, top PVPers that only do arena play for less hours per week then most as you cna do your 10-20 games in 2 hours

top end raiders raid anywhere from 2-4 times a week on average for 3-5 hours each time
MUCH less once stuff is on farm. before sunwell came out i played maybe 10 hours a week, 2 days to clear all the instances we wanted,

there are people that play for hours and hours every day and accomplish next to nothing

Nah, I know how conditions need to be JUST right for being able to CC even 1 mob reliably. Banish needs a demon/elemental. Seduce is risky in that mobs are immune often times and +hit doesn't help with the resists since it is a pet, and the stupid thing dies way too easily. And for fear your group has to really prepare for by pulling to an area already cleared, 1 fear is possible with a good CoR/CoS bouncing in a crowded area, but its asking for a wipe sometimes.

Was just playing along with your "mages suck at everything" ;)
But you started defending your class, yay!

I would agree with anubis that people in end game can play less than your average player. Doesn't mean all of them do, some play other characters when not raiding. The option is there if it's all you want.
