Ned - 3 USA - 1 FINAL

Not looking good for USA. Lots of good opportunities to score..... Eliminated @ 96:12

Netherlands advances to Quarterfinals, unbeaten in 19 straight matches.
USA looked pretty good! You have to remember that you're still a developing nation football wise!
Was an entertaining game, I hope it helps with the popularity of the sport in the US along with getting to the knockout stage of the World cup!

USA looked overmatched. Had chances but couldn't defend the counter attack. The Dutch goals were too easy. I had an idea before the game the Dutch could win 3-0. USA got a lucky goal. Dutch goals didn't look lucky, they were the result of good service, good strikes and poor defense. Not Turner's fault, though.

They said in 1994 that the US was a developing nation in the international football world. That was when the US hosted the world cup. A free entry as a host country to the World Cup. They missed qualifying for the World Cup in 2018. The US defense was very good. The offense, missing on the field. Pulisic is overrated. A child prodigy who peaked at 18. I am sure Landon Donovan feels pretty good right now. He was an all around player but was great at scoring. Something the US team lacked in World Cup 2022.

The US had a good showing this time around. But they are a fair margin behind the power teams. There are a lot of politics in organized sports. The good news for US soccer. They didn't have the best players on the field. Even if they did, they would still lose against the top countries.

This World Cup was a success for team USA. As far as building a world class soccer program. When you have the best players from America head to the Premiere League at age 18. The inability to score in the World Cup begs the question of what they are doing in England. The team from England scored 9 goals compared to USA's 3 goals during World Cup matches.

England 3 Senegal 0 @ 56:45 Bukayo Saka 😀

Final @ 94:14.
