Workout Tactics...

Alright so I need to get a little more buff and in a little better shape overall. I'm 6'2" 155lbs. Pretty athletic as is but need the extra edge. I'm trying to do both strength and cardio and am having trouble figuring out some schedule that incorporates both in the right amounts. So...what's better?

1. Working out everyday and doing a different muscle group each day. Cardio in between exercises/incorporated into workout.

2. Working out every other day but during workouts straining every muscle group. On days in between doing cardio.

That's the only ones I can think of if anyone can think of something better please post I'm definetly open to suggestions thanks.

You need to do 30 minutes of cardio 3x per week. Find out what your target heart rate is. Make sure you eat enough. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST. buy arnlolds bodybuliding book. Good stuff in there.

Any actual helpful opinions? And btw I do eat - and alot. However, I do alot of sports so the energy is expended rather rapidly...

Yes I did I wasn't responding to you or ntdz but to the two that had the useless opinions. I'm checking that site out...

Thanks.

Edit: You can't see most discussions without registering and I can't register as the confirmation image doesn't load for me (just gives me "Loading Image" and never actually loads).

Spend some time reading the threads on the forums there and you will find a lot of helpfull info czech09 🙂

I would also recommend that you drink a protien shake or eat within an hour after your workout. Also, if you use creatine ,drink that after your workout also.

fine. eat more & more often & cut back on the cardio

some of the "weight gainer" products will help you
bulk up, but you have to lift to avoid looking like a fat wrestler.

get thee to geek fitness.

you dont need to do cardio if you are 6'2 and weigh 155lbs.

for working out, do each muscle group one time a week.

Squats and eat more.

I don't care if your eating a lot it is NOT ENOUGH for YOUR metabolic rate. Just keep eating until you do gain weight. That may mean 5 large meals a day...
