Very nice! I love the new Case Labs M8 case. How much does it cost?

Thanks, as for the case it can run anywhere from 400 - 500 depending on the config and accessories. The case is well worth it, its probably the best case I've worked with.

Thanks for the kind words all, I'm glad people are enjoying my build as much as I am.

@ RussianSensation, my photography skills actually suck and my camera is meh.. It's not even a DSLR, it's a Canon Powershot S3 IS 🙂

Crappy update to come...

First off let me say that Fed Ex can SUCK IT. I got home from work not to long ago and opened up my package to find my Dell 3007 WFP IPS 30" screen shattered. Now I have to wait 5-7 days for my claim to process as per their customer service. Only to make matters worse, the claim is not between me and Fed Ex but between them and the sender of the package. Then afterwards I have to deal with the shipper to get my insurance claim, needless to say; countless hours of headaches in the near future for me.

But thanks to Dell's customer service I will be receiving a new one. They asked me to take photos of the damage to the monitor and said that since I provided them with proof of the damage that they will ship me out a new monitor first, then I can put the damaged one in the shipped box with a pre-paid shipping label provided by them.

Here are pictures of the damage.

It's early in the morning for me right now, and I was looking at the pics all confused... what the?! then I read what you wrote. damn! That really sucks, but at least you're getting nicely handled and will receive a replacement in short order. Let's hope this one arrives in good shape!

Well the horror of my new monitor aside.

I got some 3M Di-NOC Carbon fiber vinyl and covered up my BluRay-RW and the exposed aluminum from my PowerAdjust 2 module. Now everything is nice and uniform with black.

Lookin very nice. Just hope you get everything finished before its out of date. 😉

Your hands must look pretty gnarly after all that sleeving, soldering, and heat shrinking.

LOL, well update to my Dell situation.

After 9 days, 30+ numerous calls and speaking to 17 different customer service reps, I finally got fed up and wrote an e-mail to 9 different VPs at Dell and made them aware of my problems and within an hour of writing the e-mail I had a manager from Dells Escalation department contacting me. After about 45 minutes on the phone everything was resolved and Dell is now shipping me my over due replacement.

Happy days!

As for updates on my build, I've been sleeving my 4 pin molex power cables and sata cables and doing some cutting, splicing and soldering to eliminate all the unnecessary power connectors.

I'll post up pictures soon! 🙂

warning becareful on EK nickle..

from my friends, the EN revisions still have some flaws....
So its good to inspect it every once in a while.

But wow.. seems like another pedistool is going up to keep my system company.. 😛

Here is the update as promised.

These are just some "work in progress" pictures I took today while I was drilling out mounting holes and using my uni-bit to make the holes so I could use the BP fillport fillings to make my pass thru ports.

The orange fans look awesome and I love the custom sleeving, I would never have the patience for that 😛

So much for my Dell issue being resolved. They outright refuse to honor my warranty even thought their website specifically states that the damage incurred would be repaired/replaced.

After 2 weeks I finally got them to authorize the complete care package warranty exchange and it sat at "authorized" for 3 days then for 2 days stated "parts ordered" then on the 6th day it was "cancelled".

Apparently the e-mail that I sent to the Senior VP of Dell Americas didn't even reach him and instead routed to a manager at the Senior Escalation Team, a gentleman by the name of Surendra. He is who initially approved the complete care package exchange and he was the one today who had told me that Dell will not replace my monitor as the damage incurred is not covered by the warranty. I told him that as per his website that it states that it is indeed covered but he insisted that it was wrong and they will not replace my monitor.

So looks like I'm screwed.

How is it even possible that damage like that is not covered by warranty. BS.

I can't believe FedEx isn't doing a claim on that???

I don't even see how it's Dells problem, it was broken in transit (Dell wouldn't ship a broken screen!)

I don't get it! Then again I've never dealt with FedEx, just freight companies....

-edit-

Laughed at my post.. 3 lines... "I can't", "I don't", "I don't"

Well, Fedex stated in a letter that the even with the damage to the box with the amount of bubble wrap and foam peanuts inside the box there is no way the LCD screen could have been shattered so Fedex refused the insurance claim.

So I had no choice but to warranty through Dell as the monitor had the complete care exchange package.
