One of my big ones, other THAN some that have already been mentioned here.....

People who put an "S" at the end of words incorrectly.

Such as "Walmarts"....."K-Marts", etc....
Yes, I can't stand that either especially when used with Walmarts as you said. Ugh. A lot of people say Sonics, too.
Ughh.. even worse are people who precede it with "the," as in, "I'm going to The Wal-Marts this afternoon." I always feel like asking, "Really? All of them?"

There is one that do get a kick out of hearing people not pronounce correctly, that would be ambiance. Many people try to say it like 'ahm-vee-ants' as opposed to saying it correctly. Like they are over-compensating the French etymology to it.

In the internet one word that is not spelled correctly quite often that drives me insanse is "noone" Should be spelled "no one" or "none." What is real crazy I spent years not understanding what people were trying to say, I was trying to say it like "noon." Had to ask a friend to clear up that problem.

I forgot all about that one! I hate that with a passion. It doesn't even save keystrokes or space, it just looks dumb as hell.

I think your post does not accurately capture your true emotions behind the word itself.

Drives me crazy...

Hahaha, I think it's funny to mix metaphors. "Does the Pope sh1t in the woods?" "Is a bear Polish?" "Have your cake and lie in it too."

Ok, some things that bug the hell out of me include pronouncing the word OUR as "are" instead of like "hour"; saying OF when you mean HAVE (should have, would have, could have); and saying "how come" instead of "why" (How come you're late? instead of Why are you late?") All of these things sound ignorant to me.

Another thing that bugs me is when two words are merged into one in a stupid way, such as guesstimate.
