Super.

People that use the word "super" as follows:

"...super fast video card..." or "... super hot <insert random item here>..."

PSA: This is not the eighties.

I can't stand it when people use abbreviations in their everday language, such as FYI and TTL.

I don't care if people use abbreviations when scribbling down notes and the likes, but just say the whole damn word when you are conversing with me.

On a related subject, I hate it when people complain about the changing definitions of words. Many words we use today have altered meanings. There is no reason to whine about it. Oh, and I especially hate it when groups complain about the altered meaning of a word when the very definition they want to use is an altered definition from the original (aka, gay).

When I used to work at an office everything pertaining to computers was called a "solution". A video card is a video solution. A hard drive is a storage solution. Everything was a damn solution.

I hate when people say, "Yo where you at??!" when answering their cellphones. I think a stupid new cellphone commercial with rappers has that as a tagline. ugh.

I also can't stand the "word" aight. As in, "I'm a stupid idiot??? AIIIGHT!!"

The same applies to "paradigm" and all other stupid, goofy ass corporate buzz words.

Also one I hate with a passion is "team member" or "team player" As in Target team members or somebody isn't a team player. That is so f^cking stupid.

Example:
me: "My friend got a speeding ticket."
other person: "They should drive slower."

That's a basic problem with the English language: There is no gender neutral word for a single person, so when you need to refer to a person but don't know the gender, what do you do... ?

Personally, I hate anything and everything related to "ebonics". You know what ahm sayin'?

Wow, I was waiting for someone to say that so I didn't have to. Ebonics will ruin the English language, though it isn't in such great shape anyway.

Just say "he" or "she". It's really not that hard... pick one!

Well, this depends on the context. Memory is a generic term. Hard drive storage is definitely a form of (non-volatile) memory, so it is actually correct to say, for example, "I don't have enough room to install program XYZ; I need more memory."

The real source of the problem is that the word "memory" has taken the stigma of being specifically RAM. RAM is memory, but memory isn't necessarily RAM.

and if you're wrong you have to put up with the "No, she's a girl" or "No, he's a guy", which is simply an inefficient conversation and steals attention from the main point, which is that the friend should slow down.

There is a movement that wants to make "they" the official gender-neutral 3rd person pronoun in the English language. I think we definitely need one, and "they" really does sound natural in its (mis)use. It's too bad that is has another distinct meaning (plural form). Ideally we'd create another word and just deal with it sounding funny for awhile until it sounds natural :)
