I'm almost certain they're just renumbered. If you use the 1 billion bytes = 1 GB, then 80GB works out to be 74 and what not. I dunno.

The only way to tell is if you actually examine the specs of the drive to count the cylinders, etc..

I think there were reviews for the 80gig models comparing them to 74s i believe. The 80s were slighlty slower.
 
woot... went to gym and because of this gamebridge thing i didn't miss a thing... down to 25%, looks like it might get done after another hour or so... this is at least the 3rd time they've sold this adaptec thing, plus 3 times for the one with the tuner...

They were getting pretty impatient... they even tried plugging these pieces of trash on Digg's deals forum in order to make them move.
