Woohoo!!! I have almost 6 weeks off of work coming up!!

I got approved for a few weeks of unpaid time off and one of my primary goals (besides resting) is to start the process of getting back in shape. I need to lose roughly around 50 pounds but if I can manage to do 30 in 6 weeks I would be happy.

I'm thinking maybe the best way to go is to have about 3-4 exercise sessions spread throughout thet day. The 1st workout (before I eat breakfast) will be 20-30 minutes of mid to high intensity cardio followed by weight training. My theory behind this is that the cardio and weight lifting will give my metabolism a huge boost early in the day. Additional workouts during the day will likely be various forms of cardio. Again the theory behind the additonal sessions of cardio is that each one will ensure that my metabolism remains as high as I can get it. So basically my body should be aggressively burning fat all day long. 21-28 days of that kind of working out will hopefully result in the lost of 30 or more pounds.

How many of these threads are you going to post without actually DOING something?

30 lbs is an extremely unrealistic goal, do you have any clue what you're doing?

30 pounds is too much to lose in 6 weeks. 15-20 is more realistic.

I think for the average person maybe, but I've noticed that actors, athletes, singers and other performers are able to lose extreme amounts of weight in short periods of time. From what I've been able to discover those people who lose a lot of weight like that do intense training for several hours per day. Since the average guy is working they don't have time to work out all day, but if you have the time it should be possible to work off almost any amount of weight.

Actually I have been working out, I'm losing weight now although very slowly. In fact I've dropped avbout 12 pounds in maybe around 6 weeks. I could probably do more if I clamped down on my diet a little tighter and increase the number of days I work out.

my brother lost 30 pounds in a month before he went ot boot camp. All he EVER had was a vitamin, and salad with oil on it. Lost himself alot of weight, but had some of the skin left, but that went away after ~1 month.

i lost around 25 pounds in 6 weeks, went from 210ish - 185. I ate chicken, fish ,and drank soy shakes most of the time. I also worked out 3 days a week for around 30minutes. Also drink lots of water 😉

2 lbs. per week is fine. bump up the cardio a little, if anything.

Tapeworm. Problem solved.

😉

pfft tapeworms are overrated. The lazy bastards 😛

That's why you get two! Not only do they take the pounds off faster, sometimes when you're bored, you can convince them to wrestle each other. You just sort of sit back and enjoy...

😛

Breakfast is bad. You eat breakfast and it makes you more hungry during lunch time. If you skip breakfast your not really hungry at lunch and can skip the first 2 meals and just eat dinner.

actually its just the opposite, breakfast is what starts your metabolism and promotes fat burning. The key is a healthy breakfast

Did not work for me. I skip the first 2 meals and have been able to maintain 115-117lbs at 5'9.
