See. I was going to try to answer your question. However, you are clearly just being a dick.

What? You asked, I answered.

I suspect that you just decided not to eat bread for a while...then decided to eat some.

Then decided to post about it.

okay, now im interested why bread isn't allowed to be eaten in that time period. OP care to explain without the name calling?

It's just how it is. Why does Kosher exist? Why is killing wrong, unless its against God's enemies. Why is an event where a guy won because he threw a fucking rock at his head some sort of miracle, instead of a event where a guy killed another guy by throwing a rock at this head.

It's an arbitrary tradition celebrating their religion in some way

When the Pharaoh freed the Israelites, it is said that they left in such a hurry that they could not wait for bread dough to rise (leaven). In commemoration, for the duration of Passover no leavened bread is eaten, for which reason it is called "The Festival of the Unleavened Bread".

Really?

So if he forgot his keys and wallet...

Its not a command from god or anything?

And thanks for giving some explanation to this thread

It's pretty much stating that they didn't want to wait in fear of the Pharaoh changing his mind about them leaving. They didn't have time to wait for the bread to leaven (rise).

Yeah i get that, but I doubt the whole community was standing around waiting for some bread to rise.

There must of been some other things that were left unfinished or that they didnt have time to get.

It just seems a bit of a trivial thing to hang a few thousand years of tradition off.

It is all explained on the Wikipedia page for Passover that you might have seen if you had bothered to actually try to look it up.
