and another reason I have doubts DC movies will come anywhere close to matching marvel's success.
 
I wish all the people crying about casting would stfu. Same thing happened with Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker. And, now you morons won't get off his nuts about it.
 
This movie was doomed from the start. Cast is a joke. Now the director doesn't even want to be a part of the train wreck.

Bummer too. I was a huge Linda Carter fan as a young lad.

The knock on Ledger was his acting chops, which I think most people seriously underestimated. The knock on this WW is her looks, which simply don't fit the description.

It's not the same thing at all, unless you're telling us she really does look like an amazon woman.
 
I don't see what the big deal is. It's not faithful to the comics but it seems like a superficial difference. Does this really change anything about her role or character? It's not like you need a large build to justify magic super strength.

The issue with her looks are from people who haven't read the comics. The original Wonder Woman looked nothing like some kind of buff girl.

You say that like it's a bad thing. For one thing, comic nerds don't own a character in perpetuity just because they got introduced in that format. WW is probably better known by her many TV appearances than by the comics. Besides that, the original Superman was a bald telepathic supervillian, but how often to do people complain about him not being around anymore?

Now, fat people like to say "curvy" to hide the fact that they are fat, but curvy SHOULD mean "not anorexic".

If you prefer bone-thin, more power to you, but it's mostly disgusting. Fat is disgusting, too, but that gif listed earlier (here) is a good example of curvy, though on the thin end of the curvy spectrum. Healthy, not anorexic.

Just about any incarnation of WW I have seen from the Lynda Carter days to Justice League disagrees. Most characters have several "versions" and most people identify the character as one of those. In WW's case, I bet most people expect something like this.
