Why don't you just pretend you didn't see his email, send him the money via paypal and if he doesn't send you the tickets, report him to paypal. They'll send him emails to give the tickets to you. If not, you can sue him for your money back and damages in accordance to Ebay's seller's agreements.

"pretending" will get you into trouble. Just send him the money and then file a complaint if you don't get your tickets.

Yeah, it seems like he wanted more (hell, who doesn't), but failed to realize that it's illegal to do that. I get the impression that now he realizes this and will send the tickets. (obviously, you should still make sure to protect yourself). If you get the tix, I see no reason to leave a negative feedback. It was just a simple misunderstanding about E-bay rules.

Hello and thanks for bidding on my item, the reason for my email is because I am getting phone calls from people offering more money for my items, are you interested in paying more???? Let me know,

Is there anything I can do, or basically am I screwed?

the seller entered into the same contract you did. He has to send them to you.

Ya, but eBay can't force him to. I have won auctions that were not honored and complained about it, and nothing happened... I'd go pick them up, so he can't "lose" them.

he's probably a new seller and doesn't understand the ToS of eBay.
First point out to him that he's legally binded to sell it to you at that price. If he still doesn't do it, report his ass

Binded? I like that this post has been "fixed" 3 times but no one pointed out this obvious grammatical error.

It's funny I was thinking something along the same lines...

Every time you post, it is obvious you are an asshole...
