Women's tennis: Suppose to be sexually appealing?

They're in tight fitting shirts which easily shows what's underneath. Some look like they're wearing a mini skirt on the court. Besides the sexual appeal I don't see how it's practical.

How is it not practical? With small skirts your legs are free to move as fast as you can move them, and as wide.

The shirts are not really that tight fitting, nor the skirts. The women are really thin and muscular so it can be deceiving. With exceptions, of course. Some women do treat a tennis tourney as a fashion show (serena williams, for example).

<shudders> She is scary looking.

Sharapova is so much cuter 🙂

And we ALL wish she wouldn't, because she is clearly a man.

Yikes, I just googled her and I felt dirty. Then I looked her up on Wikipedia, fortunately she's only 2 years younger than me.

I've always been a fan of Martina Hingis

The 'Touch of Pink' (fragrance by Lacoste) commercial with Maria Sharapova is on TV a 100 times a day. And I never get tired of it.

Serena is alright. Venus scares the crap out of me.

To the OP, I think it's all about comfort and functionality. Olympic runners/cyclists usually wear bikini-bottoms (or something like that). And none of them is exactly a feast for the eyes. Its all about trying to get rid of the tiniest possible performance bottleneck/hindrance.

But don't ask me: I have no trouble sleeping/playing cricket, soccer or volleyball in Doc Martens and slim-fit jeans.
